IBRAHIM CONTINUES FORM AS 2nds PROGRESS TO THE SEMI FINALS OF BOB WELTON CUP

Yet another great win by the 2s this weekend. Playing in the Quarter Finals of the Bob Welton we won the toss and put them in. As has been the case this season to date, bowling was veey tight and Hartholme looked in trouble at 37-7. A spirited fightback from their tail meant they finished on 113 all out. David Peacock returned great figures of 4-22 and was ably supported by George Luya and Ciaron Deegan both taking 2 wickets each. After losing both openers relatively early on, Ben Ibrahim again batted superbly, continuing his impressive start to the season ending 41*. Occupying the crease at the other end, Jonathan Stanser never looked in trouble and played some lovely shots to all parts of the ground in his 36*. A fantastic victory for the 2nd team. Been a great start to the season!!
