An excellent 64 from Stu Parker helped the 3s to a fantastic victory over Keelby. Batting first we posted 141 in tough conditions with Parker leading the way. Luke Blades also chipped in with 17. Keelby never got going thanks to some tight bowling and brilliant catching and fielding. George Luya picked up 3/19 and 14 year old Ben Conroy took 2/18. A fantastic win!! Super 20 points.
A brilliant performance from the 1st XI against Alford took them to their first full 20 points of the season and 2nd win of the season in the only two fully completed games they have played in the league this season. Bowling first Ben Brumby and Karanjit Bansal opened the bowling and kept things tight not allowing the Alford batsman to get away. But it was Jamie Brumby who came on and picked up the first wicket. Alfords innings never got going with relentless pressure coming
A big blow for us going forward with the news that our Fast bowler Daniel Cliffe has broken his ankle while fielding today. We are all extremely gutted for him and we wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see back on the field for us soon. Messages have poured through for Danny wishing him well with his recovery, all of us at STCC are with him and know he will be back better and stronger.

Garmesh Chand produced an excellent spell of bowling with figures of 4-1-13-1. Ben Brumby also chipped in with 2/34. The run chase for Scunthorpe didn’t get off to the best start as t
After winning the toss and fielding, some tight bowling frustrated the hosts leaving them on 59-6 after 32 overs. Pop Robson was the pick of the bowlers with a great spell taking 4 for 9 from his 9 overs. Dean Gaffney ended with 3 for 26 and some suicidal running, along with sharp fielding from Ben Ibrahim, Liam Ironmonger and Tom Brumby meant Rasen finished 128 all out.
In reply, Scott Matthews and Tom got us off to a flyer. Tom certainly wasnt hanging about and reached 33
STCC 1st XI finally got life in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League underway this season as we hosted Lindum. Scunthorpe won the toss and put them into bat. At 95/2 at the drinks interval, Lindum were on course to make 250. Some excellent bowling in the middle of the innings from Garmesh Chand and Karanjit Bansal built up pressure. Daniel Cliffe then produced a magnificent spell of death bowling not allowing Lindum to get away. Lindum finished their innings 198/8. The last 25
