Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club was Established in 1897

The club has a proud history of local cricket, with games being played at Heslam Park. The club is growing from strength to strength and has been very successful as one of the leading clubs in our region.
The club has won the Lincolnshire Premier Division title on two occasions with the most recent being in 2017.  On the back of this title the club have been promoted to the ECB Lincolnshire Premier League for 2018.  This is the highest standard of club cricket in the county and the club is ready for the challenge.
The club has various other successes with League titles and Cup titles across the board. These include the Bob Welton Cup and the George Marshall Cup.

Winning trophies is not what the club is defined by. We believe in supporting and developing our home grown talent and working with our younger players so that they are ready for senior cricket and what this entails. With this in mind, our Academy team was developed in the form of our already existing 4th team, which plays on a Sunday. This is combined with the re-definition of our 3rd team as a feeder team.

We now have an excellent coaching team which is led by former Nottinghamshire Academy/Lincolnshire CCC player Karanjit Bansal.
With the theme of developing home grown talent, Karanjit started his cricket at Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club as a junior.  He developed his skills to play all over the world at a very high standard. We are lucky to have him on board.
Karanjit is a qualifed Level 2 coach and has brought a professional attitude to training from his experiences at playing at a very high level. This professional attitude is ran through from the U/11s all the way to the 1st team. This has already rewarded the club with a magnificent 2017 season. This is just the start of our journey.

We currently have 4 senior teams and 4 junior teams as well as running an ALL STARS section. Our 1st team will be playing in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League for the first time in the clubs history. The 2nd XI will be in Division One of the Lincolnshire League. The 3rd XI will be challenging Division Four of the Lincolnshire League and finally our senior Sunday team will be in Division 1 of the North Lindsey League. Junior teams are as follows, U11B, U11A, U13 and U15s.

An exciting future lies ahead.
